MIKHAIL OMAR

Mikhail Omar bin Syahrul, is 11 years old was born 2009 in Ipoh, Perak. Always an active boy, he loves being outdoors and anything to do with animals and dinosaurs. His vacation days must always feature a visit to an aquarium, a zoo or at least a pet shop. His love for these things has become his favorite things to paint.

At the age of 2 1/2 years old, he was diagnosed with moderate Autism with speech delay. It was difficult for him to communicate what he wanted, and even tougher to express how he felt. This led to him being by himself a lot, frustrated and alone.

Art has always been a way to keep him calm & focused and now with Teacher Joy’s guidance, the founder of Dragonfly Art Cottage, it is a way that he connects with the outside world in a way that others can appreciate.
